It cannot directly connect to external speakers via bluetooth. But you can connect a Chromecast audio dongle to the speaker using 2.5mm jack and then stream from google home to the Chromecast audio dongle.

The Google Home Mini can use a different speaker for better sound. The other speaker must have embedded Chromecast or connected to a Google Chromecast Audio. Then you can cast the sound from the Mini to the Chromecast device. The Chromecast Audio device can even allow you to push music to a non Bluetooth enabled speaker or system.
