• I miss that option too. You'd need another google device call Chromecast audio, which in essence can work without the 'mini' but you can still control it from the 'mini'. Note that Chromecast is not a bluetooth device, it will actually need to connect to your wifi and to your speaker using the 3.5mm audio plug. Ah, it will also require a USB power source nearby.

• I don’t know but I do know that my grandson uses it with Google Chromecast, if that helps. I’m not “techy”.

• You can use the Google Home Mini as a bluetooth speaker, but you can't connect it to a bluetooth speaker. In order to connect to an audio device you need to find a chromecast audio device and use that as an external speaker for the Google Home Mini.
