Rid yourself of iOS. Get an new android and you're life will change for the better. Google and Apple are not friends, and Google will dominate. Google owns Android and Youtube. It's the present and the future of all technology goodness.

I’m also an iOS user, and it works fine with both Android and iOS. It actually recognizes individual voices and devices!

I am an iOS user who has made the leap to Google Home automation. I have ran into zero compatibility issues thus far.

It works fine with iOS. Only thing you'll really miss out on is controlling the already playing cast audio from your phone. Not a big loss, in my opinion.
