“Can google home be linked up with sonos systems? Does this connect through wifi?”

• It does not talk directly to Sonos. Which is weird given that Google Play Music works with Sonos.

• The Google Home unit is not supported by Sonos equipment natively. If you have a Sonos base unit with RCA inputs on the back you should be able to use a Chromecast Audio unit with an RCA splitter wire to plug into the base unit. I haven't tried this yet but theoretically you should then be able to then use Google Homevoice command to play music over your Sonos system.

• It works when connected to your WiFi network and its also how it communicates with other stuff in your network.

• Not sure, all goes through google cast, haven't been able to hook up to my Sony wifi sound bar system as of yet, still researching
