They work the exact same, the home just has a better speaker. If you want to use it to listen to music get the home. The mini is plenty loud if you are just using it to talk to or listen to talk radio, but music just doesn't sound very good on the mini. There's just no bass on the mini. I have a home and a mini. The home is in my kitchen and the mini is in my living room. Sometimes the home can't hear me from the living room so i use the mini in the living room to start playing music on the home in the kitchen.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I really only found a few. The most being sound. The home has fuller, 360 sound where the mini is tinny and plays upward. The mini does not have touch controls either. We purchased the home for our main living space and mini's for the office and bedrooms.
