You could use this with Pandora and iHeartRadio which are free . Even with youtube, you'll have to bear with the ads, but this will still play from YouTube without the subscription. But if you're already on Amazon prime, getting echo or echo dot might be a better idea as it uses Amazon prime music which comes bundled with prime subscription.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, using Wi-Fi & changing your music provider to a free provider, like Pandora or anything else you want (through the set up on your device that you used to activate the Google Home. It's easy).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no additional charge to use the Google Home, you just need a wifi network connected to the internet. The 6 month free trial is just for Youtube red which gives you access to music and videos on Youtube but is not something that you need for any other features of Google Home to work. If you want to play music you can do so through a free Pandora account.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you don't have an android or iOS device you can't set this up. You need to download the Google home app to set this up. Even without the premium YT service, Home will pull music requests directly from reg YT and other free music services such as Pandora or iHeartMusic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You'll be able to do basic Google searches, and add items to a shopping list by voice. If you don't own any Wi-Fi enabled home devices like a Nest thermostat or Hue lighting, this won't do much more than that. In theory, future updates should enable Google Home to integrate a lot better with other Google apps like Calendar, Gmail, and Keep, but right now, the app integration is, in my opinion, pathetic. This is the remote-control car you were hoping to get all year that came without a remote, and you have to wait for the company to send you what you need in order to be able to fully use it.
