• Not for answering questions or playing music. However, it you want to cast to your TV you need a Chromecast. If you want to turn on lights or control them you need to purchase a special hub or lights. Accessories that are compatible will need to be purchased.

• Just a mobile device, google account, and a wifi network to connect to. After it's initially set up, it doesn't require anything else (except the wifi, of course).
