• I have an iPhone and it's easy to setup. Download the "Google Home" app from the app store. While your phone is connected to wifi, plug in the Google Home and it will setup through the app. You can tell it where you live (for weather tracking), where you work (for traffic/commute tracking) and it'll be up and running in less than 5 mins.

• There's a Google Home app for iphone. That's all you need. There is no other communication between iphone/android and Google home.

• Operating the Google Home is the same as operating a Google Chromecast. Apps that are compatible with the Chromecast work with the Google Home. For example streaming Spotify, Pandora or iHeartRadio to the Google Home.
