“I tried to connect Roku through my internet WiFi, but was not able to, even with a new router/modem with a good signal. I WAS able to connect with a borrowed hot spot. Can you help me with why it won't connect and why the WiFi signal shuts itself off?”

The Geek Squad would be your best bet. I have not had any issues with my ROKU at all.
