It is not a portable a/c. It cools the room by humidifying the air via the fan using the ice water you put in the reservoir. It's pretty much just a fan that blows cooled humidified air.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Air coolers operate best with an open door or window for cross ventilation. Air coolers are not recommended for climates with high humidity. Because cross ventilation is needed and you have an air conditioner running, the air cooler will not be best used in your scenario, as the cold air will probably escape out the open door or window.
