Yes ... will automatically restart

The thermostat feature turns the unit off when the room has reached the temperature it has been set to, and once the room temperature drops below that set temperature, it will turn the heater back on. It has a climate control. Set the temperature you want and it will start and stop as needed to maintain that temperature.
