Thank you for your inquiry Lewis. Heaters are not measured by the area they cover, as there are many factors with determining how much a heater can raise the temperature by. Heaters are measured by their BTUs. This unit generates 5118 BTUs on high. To determine how much a heater will increase the heat of a specific sized room, please use this formula. BTU = (Desired Temperature of room - Current Temperature of room) x Square Footage of room.
