What is the heatfaze timer? null

I think Its the timer for when you press off switch. My heater has about 5-6 seconds before it completely shuts off.

The unit will start at high heat, and over 2 hours, will drop down 3 different heat levels then turn off, to provide a comfortable temperature in the room.
