“Large amount of water collects in basin after 8 hours. I have to empty it every morning so it doesn’t overflow onto our floor. Is this normal? I’ve only had it for two days.”

Does not sound normal. Been using mine for about a week now 24/7, and I have never had to empty any water from the basin. So far, mine has not leaked on the floor.

When placing the water tank on the base of the unit, water will drain from the tank in to the base of this humidifier. This is normal operation for this humidifier. Additionally, this water does not need to be emptied when refilling this humidifier.
