We will be happy to clarify this. When you set the humidity, that is the humidity level you want the unit to maintain. This unit adds humidity to the air, meaning if the humidity is in the low 40's, and you have set your unit to 56, the unit will continue to run, trying to increase the humidity of the room. If you set the timer, that is how long the unit will run before turning off. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.56 is a very high humidity setting and your unit is probably too small to do this for the size room it is in. The low 40s should be a comfortable setting. I set mine at 40. The 4, 8 ,12 is how many hours you want it to run before it turns off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That button on the right sets the number of hours that it runs each day and in your case, should be set to 24. The button on the left side sets the fan speed, try setting it to high for more humidity.
