I purchased this product for the same reason. Am not sure it really removes mold well enough. Ended up purchasing an Air Scrubber ( which cost a lot more) and hiring a mold remediation company to rip out drywall and wet insulation. If you can still smell an odor, chances are that you still have mold present. Also, hired a company to take air samples before and after remediation. Don't wait if you are sensitive to mold, it can ruin your health. Hope this helps!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it is a matter of degree. The AirGenius 5 does a good job of freshening the air in my family room. It is just off the kitchen and makes short work of cooking odors.

I was down this past weekend-cottage had been closed up for a month-arrived at bedtime. Put my unit on 12 hours and went to bed. In the morning all of the musty, closed up odor was gone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A) Thank you for your interest in our products. This unit will filter smoke, pollen and dust at a rate of 160 cubic feet or greater per minute of when used in a 250 square foot room. The way this air purifier works is a fan draws the surrounding air in towards the unit and passes the air through the filters. This will trap up to 99% of the airborne particulates. Unfortunately, once particles, like mold, land on walls or furniture, they will not be effected by the unit any longer. I hope this information is helpful!
