I don’t think so. I have an aprilair as well and it has its own control mounted to the furnace. That control has humidity sensors on it and detects the water level in the unit. That system runs independently of the system and activates as needed. The thermostat will control your system like any other thermostat but will added functionality of controlling it from anywhere.
