“How long does the plastic smell last? I'm sure we are not the only one smelling this. Did we get defective unit?I'm thinking of returning it, it still smells after 2 weeks of use.”

Mine is the same! I washed it out with mild detergent, rinsed it well, soaked the heating element in vinegar like a descale and it helped very little. I would like to know what happened, if a new unit made a difference.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We got ours in November 2020 I think and at the end of December it still smells a little bit, but not as bad. It has mostly faded, so if you can tolerate it for a month or two or leave it running when you aren’t home it will probably cycle through and fade faster.
