• I had the same kind of mild smell. It was my first time owning a humidifier (purchased this past winter) so I wasn't sure what "normal" was for running these. The unit still worked fine for me despite the smell (I used almost daily for 2 months). I am going to be switching to a "cool mist" (vs. warm mist) this coming winter though.
