The handle is built into the upper area where the steam comes out. It's on the back side. Easy to grab and the size makes it easy to fill in a bathroom sink.

It has the handle, but when you turn the tank upside down the water also drops from the top. I used to use a lot of humidifiers before and never had an issue with water going out when the tank was hold upside down for filling.
