“When I turn my fan on, it is always set not to oscillate, even if it was oscillating when I last turned if off. It remembers the speed, but not the oscillation setting. Do others' fans do this? I wish it remembered the setting.”

You have to turn the oscillate feature every time you turn on the fan.
