Does this have to hook to a window? null

No you don't have too. I have my in living room.

I did not see one, the only thing I have left post-set up is two hooks for the bottom of the machine to wrap the cord around (I didn’t need them). Additionally, the unit may need to have the drain hose aimed down, not up.

No it is a floor model with wheels.
