• Yes. All you need to do is to change the settings on top of the handle.

• Hit the button twice and it switches to the hard floor setting instead of carpet setting

• Those brushes should not scratch the floor. We use it regularly on laminate flooring. But if you play with it, you can pop them out, a bit difficult thou'.
