“Will this work well on area rugs too? We get some mud and dirt on the rug by our front door during the snow season and I was hoping it could help to keep the rug white and lift those dark marks left by our dirty shoes.”

Thank you for your question! Yes, PowerDash is great for cleaning area rugs! However, area rugs can have potential seep through to the floor, so it is a good idea to check and make sure the rug is dry and there is no water seep through. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did area rugs and wall to wall carpeting with this machine, worked great. You might want to use a pretreat solution first if it does not work the first time. I had rugs loaded with silt (I am by the water) dog vomit, bile and urine (sorry!) and they came out spotless. If the rugs are actually stained rather than just filthy I don't know if stains would come out but mine look like new.
