This model cleans rugs by spraying water and cleaner mixture when you push forward and sucks up the excess water (and dry heats) on the pull back. In my experience (5 or 6 different cleaners), that is how they generally work. It works well, but if you do more than one pass, the carpet will be a little wet. Wet carpet cleaners don't double as a regular vacuum cleaners and generally advise to vacuum the carpet before using them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one won’t do both at the same time. It clogs a lot even after vacuuming, so I’m sure it would do that even more (maybe fatally) without having vacuumed. The instructions also indicate that the rug needs to be vacuumed before washing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This machine is a carpet WASHER only...not a vacuum cleaner / washer-in-one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sweeteye7 , The only machine that I know of is a Kirby Avalair. It uses suds to wash and it dries in 30 minutes. Similar to the old Capture system that you just vacuum up the dry particles when done. I purchase mine on EBay for $700 and an additional $200 for the carpet system. Does a great job .Only drawback is that the solution container is on the small side and if you need to get the stairs you have to remove the housing. Not really a big seal for all the it does though
