For the first month, the battery life is about 35 minutes. After the first month, it's zero. It won't take a charge, and if you manage to hunt down the manufacturer's so-called customer service, they will tell you you're out of luck.

I’m considering one for the 8 year old boy. I’m certainly not expecting much at this price. I would expect, under ideal conditions, that the time would be measured in minutes. Definitely not hours. Flat, fairly smooth, level surface and “comfortable” temperatures.
