The GPU in this laptop cannot run with only 4GB of ram because it limits the GPU to only 512MB of ram. Frankly, HP should not have released it with only 4GB. I also had the same freezing problems. I upgraded to a 16GB stick of ram and everything runs much faster and smoother now, no weird freezing or little bugs. However, if you turn off all hardware acceleration in every browser you use and every app that uses it you can run 4GB without crashing.
