Hi Dani, thank you for the question. Windows Update automatically installs important updates as they become available. You can also set Windows Update to install recommended updates automatically or just let you know that they're available. Microsoft doesn't indicate why one can't go back to S Mode after converting to Windows 10 Home, but we suspect it could be due to security vulnerabilities. Make sure you've enabled Windows Defender in Windows 10 Home, or use an anti-virus program like McAfee Live Safe.
