• This is what I use it for e-mails and banking. it comes with a charger. runs on the battery for over 6 hours . it is a Hewlett -Packard.

• Yes, it's an HP laptop, and it would be excellent for the kind of tasks you've described. You'll have to plug it in to charge the battery, but once that's done you don't have to have it plugged in to use it.
