Q: QuestionAm I able to turn off Windows 11 S mode? In order to install apps that are not in the windows store?

• A:Answer It is possible to turn off S Mode, but you cannot turn it back on once you do. It is highly recommended that you look at the system requirements from the publisher's site of any software you are trying to download and make sure that the device you want to install it on meets the minimum requirements. Updates can change the requirements which can impact what settings you can run it on or if you can run it at all.

Q: Questiondoes the computer run fast? using it for games such as roblox and discord. Also planning to get wolf quest anniversary edition as well. Do you think this laptop will be able to handle all three apps? If not, what other HP laptop do you recommened?

Updates can change the requirements which can impact what settings you can run it on or if you can run it at all. You would have to turn off S Mode which will reduce the security of this device, but then you would be able to run and use it on low settings. You cannot turn S Mode back on after turning it off.

• A:Answer Thank you for asking the question, Elle! The sound quality is good, but one thing you need to be aware of is that because it's running Windows tin "S Mode", you can only install software that's available in the Windows Store. That may be more of a problem for you than the sound quality.

Updates can change the system requirements which can impact what settings you can run the software on or if you can run it at all. This unit currently meets the requirements for Examplify 3.3, but you may have to turn off S Mode on this device in order to download the software. S Mode adds an extra layer of security to the device but puts restrictions on downloading third-party applications. You cannot turn S Mode back on once you turn it off.

Q: QuestionWill I be able save MP3 files on a CD-R disc when using an external CD drive? I’ve seen answers about playing (reading) CDs on this laptop with an external drive but I want to know if the laptop can write to a CD-R disc. Thank you.

• A:Answer For any software you want to use, you will want to go to the publisher's site and make sure that the unit you are looking at meets at least the system requirements. Updates can change the requirements which can impact what settings you can use or if you can run the software at all. This unit is also in Windows 11 in S Mode which will block your ability to download third party applications. You would have to turn off S Mode which will lower some of the security on the device and S Mode cannot be turned back on. It also does not meet the minimum requirements for the Sims 4.
