The ram upgrade is easy, only requires that you take out 8 Phillips screws from the back ( make sure to look under the rubber bumpers on the bottom). Pull off the back and the ram should be right there, gently pull apart the two prongs holding the ram in and replace.

The memory is expandable to 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB, it is not soldered on the motherboard. The SSD can be upgraded as well. Adding memory or upgrading the 64GB SSD requires significant disassembly.
