“What is HP S mode? Does that mean it’s similar to Chrome OS? I’m needing a computer for Zoom since Zoom is phasing out Chrome OS and concerned would have same issue with HP S mode. Thanks”

It's actually Windows that's running in S mode. S mode is a high security mode for running Windows. One of the security features is that you can only install and run apps that are available in the Windows Store
