Can I add more ram to this computer null

Hello. Thanks for your question. The RAM can be upgraded up to 16 GB DDR4-2400.

I attempted to upgrade to 16gb but it was unsuccessful but the 8gb stuck from crucial works great

This is asked & answered twice, both answers from HP. This answer says 16 GB, while the second HP answer is 8 GB, which matches the second answer to this question, based on user experience. IMO, this answer (16 GB) should be carefully reviewed and removed if it is found to be in error (as I suspect it is).
