"Lot" is a relative term; one man's ceiling is another man's floor.

1. With 16 GB of RAM, it probably could have 50 tabs open at the same time, maybe more, but it also depends on the browser you are using, how often you switch between tabs, what specifically those tabs are open too, other programs running at the same time, amount of hard drive being used for additional memory, etc.
2. At a minimum, it will have a cooling fan on the CPU. Since it is NOT a gaming laptop, it will probably not include heat pipes, vapor chambers, or software to control fan speed.

I have never heard of a laptop "burnt" on the bottom, even one abused, but you might consider adding a cooling pad as a prophylactic. For very little money, it provides much needed advantages.
