• Thank you for your question about this HP laptop! I am sorry to hear about the short battery charge and the battery has a longer length than that. You can contact Geek Squad or HP Support as they have the knowledge to answer this.

• Battery life is affected by the number of programs simultaneously running, screen brightness, battery age, CPU heating, and probably a bunch of other factors I can't think of at the moment. Best Buy or HP tech support would be a good place to start, not this forum.
