• Sarah, thank you for your question on international adaptability! HP recommends purchasing a charger with the same number of watts as the one that comes with the laptop. HP does not recommend using international voltage adapters with their products.

• The advantage of a laptop is that there is no built in power supply. This means that all you need is an external adapter that has one end compatible with local power, and the other that supplies the proper wattage/amperage with the correct polarity and form factor.
