What is the use of the f4 key null

Luiss, thank you for your question about this HP laptop! The f4 key is used to control the keyboard backlighting on models in this series that have that feature. This does not have keyboard backlighting.

On this model it does nothing, on other models it would contro keyboard backlighting (which this model does not have)
