If the software is in the Microsoft App Store than yes it will. By default the Windows 10 comes in "S", which means you can only install software through the app store Microsoft provides. You would need to upgrade to Windows 10 Home to be able to install software from other sources. Just remember once you "upgrade" your version of windows 10 there is no going back. I believe the S to home update is at no cost. Though i'm not sure if it's always going to be that way. As far as the specs you need to look at the software's minimum specifications and compare to the specs of the laptop. This laptop is not 'speedy', there's plenty of storage for digital photo's, but the rest of the laptop is more of a casual web surfing, a few facebook games type of laptop. Any heavy digital editing might bog is down pretty quick, but this depends a lot on what you're doing. Hope this helps, -Keith
