Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Laptop 15-dw3033dx comes with Windows 10 in S mode. That means you can use the Microsoft Edge browser and use apps from the Microsoft Store (app store). No, a person does not need to purchase another version of Windows 10. If you want to purchase Microsoft Office 2019 that is another $150.00. I was going to take this out of Windows S mode, and add a version of Office, yet decided to just use the forgotten WordPad that comes in Windows, under Windows Accessories. Defender, Edge, (based on Chromium), Printers set-up by Windows, and WordPad, I have older programs, yet no longer need them.
