• Just adding to HP's reply: you can also purchase an external camera. The variety and quality is usually much better than a built-in camera, although of course, this requires additional payment.

• Thank you for your question on this HP Laptop! The camera on this is not upgradable. The Envy and the Spectre series laptops are equipped with the IR cameras required for facial recognition.
