Krissie, thank you for your question on this HP laptop! IT does not have any of the Microsoft Office programs preinstalled on it, of which Excel is a part of. It comes with a 30-day trial of Microsoft 365 and you can purchase Excel as either part of the Microsoft 365 subscription or the Microsoft Office suite, which is a one-time activation.

Also, one MS 365 application at a time can be used, free, within a browser. Furthermore, in case you are unaware, non-MS spreadsheet programs (as well as Publishing, Writing, etc.) are available from other manufacturers, for free. Some people even prefer these, as they can have better integration between the different programs in the Suite.
