Is it compatible with Microsoft office, not 365? null

My guess is yes. I see no reason why it would not be. However I've only used 365 for this device.

Compatible with any Microsoft product and many more that are totally unconnected to Microsoft.

P.S.: "Microsoft Office" subscription IS "Microsoft 365.." They've just renamed it. "Microsoft Office" as a one-time purchase, rather than a subscription service, is still available, however.
