I usually go for Chromebooks over laptops, but my school required a laptop for my program. I like this one a lot. I love the touch screen capability, large screen, lightweight, and the storage capacity is great. It never lags or anything either. My biggest complaint is the keys don't light up, so if you're typing in low lighting, it's near impossible to see the keyboard. Also, sometimes it seems the battery dies very quickly.

This is an excellent price ($249 +tax) for the amount of gigabytes (8GB) you’re getting. The next level up I’ve seen is 16GB for $449. I purchased this in January in Natural Silver. The only complaint I have is the fan kicks on when I’m charging it while I’m use. Despite this, it still runs hot on the bottom left of the laptop. My suggestion is to use a cooling fan. You shouldn’t have to but that’s an option. I’ve been using gel cooling packs under it to keep it from overheating. Other than that, it runs good. It’s fast and efficient for school work. I have multiple tabs open for research and power point slides.

First off the Laptop is my baby and I could only afford open box. It was brand new basically! The touch screen has the right sensitivity for my work load speed. The touch screen and screen doesn’t glitch! It’s so lightweight I don’t feel a numbness in my lap while working 49 hours a week!. It also adapts to any headset I use (poly, platronics). Now let’s get into the speed and WiFi connectivity! I take over 50 calls a day and the clarity of each call is outstanding. A loading page is never a hassle for your girl because the upload of a quick file from my browser during a call is less that 3 secs! Now the secret gems!! (Shhhh) The new features like emoji icon option on the keyboard by the volume is so innovative! Like I’d never know that it’s so spunky for a work chat reply lol. Now a next feature is the camera lens! This laptop has a freaking lens shade so if you’re feeling to have privacy or don’t want to be seen in an meeting without a slip up, you swipe the lens shade over the camera lens. Ugh this computer has changed my life and work life is now balanced. Unfortunately the screen has cracked because the ac fell out the window of my desk breaking the screen. I hope I can replace it soon because it’s the a top 5 product! Add my insta: Tcmone__

My ancient HP laptop finally got so slow, outdated, and unreliable that I had to replace it. Found this one on sale and it does everything I need it to. Set up was a snap and I was able to transfer my files etc from the old laptop easily. It's mainly used to check emails, surf the internet, and to power a Cricut vinyl cutter. It's also small and compact but not too tiny to be practical. Checks all the boxes. Would buy again.

You’ve heard it once, you’ll hear it again: you get what you pay for. At first glance, it is an average computer. Sporting a multitude of ports including usb, hdmi, aux, and a charging port(s). The touch screen is responsive and well calibrated, however that capability does come with a downfall: the screen quality is not nearly as good as a regular computer. Colors are muted, and images have a slight distortion. Battery life is less than impressive, but charging happens rather quickly. The device was exceptionally slow for what I needed, however would be great for an entry level user, or middle school student (possibly even high school). Having a pre-existing Apple ecosystem was one of my biggest reasons for not just getting a higher end Hp, rather than upgrading to my current Mac pro. While Hp has made attempts at further incorporating IOS devices, the capabilities fall short. There is an app that allows your messages and notifications from your iPhone to show on the Hp, however the notifications are delayed by several minutes, and do not follow the same focus settings as your phone. (Notifications that my phone silences while at home, my Hp would regularly push through). I also had nothing but issues with utilizing my preexisting iCloud accounts on the device. It was listed as an option for login, but, ultimately, I just created a gmail, as iCloud wouldn’t load correctly. Over all, given the price, I was impressed. The touch screen worked very well, sound quality was decent, and it was pretty light weight.

I have needed an easy-to-use, not-demanding laptop for years. I've been babying an old HP from 2016 that crashes so routinely that I only use it for streaming and keeping old files -- and it also has no battery even though I replaced it, but it's important to note that the old HP has lasted NINE YEARS. I am very online for my job, so I needed something that has good memory, a quick processor, and wasn't expensive or heavy to carry in my work bag. This HP serves really well. I really am not an HP person -- don't like all the Microsoft interfaces - but it's what I can afford and it does the trick and could work well for your younger child needing their first laptop to do homework and get started online.

I recently got my hands on the new HP Touch Laptop, and so far, it's been a solid performer. With 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, the laptop handles multitasking with ease—perfect for daily productivity, streaming, and even some light creative work. The touchscreen is responsive and adds a nice layer of convenience, especially when navigating through apps or scrolling through documents. The display is crisp, and the build quality feels premium without being too heavy, making it a good option for students or professionals on the go. Battery life is decent, Startup is lightning-fast thanks to the SSD. Overall, if you're looking for a mid-range laptop that offers good speed, a sleek design, and touchscreen functionality, this HP model is definitely worth considering.

I bought this laptop as an exchange for my Lenovo IdeaPad 1 15'6 with 4 gigabytes. of RAM. Design looks amazing, keyboard color and font is amazing and the cherry on top? It runs SUPER FAST and has a bunch of storage for editing and gaming. Would definitely recommend this!

Great laptop, but keyboard letters wear off!

Works fine, but I've had it about 2 and a half months and the lettering is wearing off of several of the keys. I knew it was not a backlit keyboard, but I did not expect the letters to wear off. I bought this for personal use only and do not even use it daily. I've had several HP's over the years, but this is the first one I've had any issues with. The touchscreen is nice and the speed and storage are great! It's just harder to use when you either have to guess what some of the keys are, or make sure you have the QWERTY keyboard placement memorized. If I'd been using this as my work laptop or even on a daily basis for several years, it would be different. But in less than three months for as little as it's used, I'm pretty disappointed.

I was in the market for a simple touch screen laptop that I could use with Microsoft 365 and regular web browsing - this laptop checked the boxes and happened to be on sale. So far, the laptop does everything I need it to do and has a decent battery life, sound is satisfactory and setup was simple. Would definitely recommend if in the market for touch screen no frills laptop.
