• Thanks for your question. This laptop would work for editing photos. It does not have an SD card slot. But you can use a USB hub that has an SD card slot with the laptop.

• Depends on what kind of editing you have in mind. Basic stuff like cropping, enlarging, or shrinking wouldn't be a problem, but if you were using Adobe Illustrator or something similar and working with layers of alterations, it would probably be very slow.
