The sticker on the power cord for me says "HPI 2724" and since you didn't mention that, I'm guessing that the cord itself has multiple potential numbers. If it helps, the "brick" part says "HP Part NO: L25296-003, replace with HP spare: 741727-001."

One is the "brick," or dongle, part, with a cord that connects to the power input port on the laptop. The other part is a cord that connects the brick to an outlet. If both cables that connect to a laptop's power port fit, you probably can use either. The brick part isn't as important--the laptop will automatically accept the power supplied to conform to its need.
