Thank you for the question. Your case indicates that you would benefit from having more memory - 16GB at a minimum. Geek Squad would be able to add that for you. Storage may be an issue, as this model has a 512GB SSD, however, an affordable solution would be to connect an external USB drive. Publishing programs that you've already been using and are compatible with Windows 11 will work. This model comes with a free 30-day trial of Microsoft 365, which includes Publisher.

You can store 1000 books per gigabyte, so I don't think storage is an issue, but HP is correct about adding it should that be necessary. 
Have no idea what "Publisher-like ability on cable, OK?" means.

Forgot to mention that you can subscribe to the Microsoft Office Suite, buy it, or get the free, compatible program from Kingsoft.
