This laptop has Windows 11 Home in S Mode, which restricts browsing to Edge and downloads apps only available in the Microsoft Store. You can take the system out of S Mode for greater flexibility using Windows 11 Home. This is free and simple to do, but it is not reversible.

Of course, this completely wipes the drive. Oh, and if you know what you are doing, there is also a way to do it by editing the Registry. Not recommended for the technically inept.
