Hi Pattie, thank you for the question. Windows 10 S is a streamlined and more secure version of Windows 10 that requires all app downloads to be acquired from the Windows Store. If desired apps are not available in the Windows Store, you have the option to convert this laptop's operating system to Windows 10 Home for more flexibility (a free, simple and non-reversible change). We recommend enabling virus protection if you choose to change from Windows 10 S.
