About how long will this laptop last? null

I wouldn't plan on having it for more than a year. So far, after moderate use for 10 months the speed and reliability of my own laptop bought last July, has degraded dramatically. It is functioning just a hair above my 2013 HP pavillion. This laptop isn't good for much more than word processing or one dedicated purpose. My touchpad works inconsistently and goes out after about 20-30 minutes and has only gotten worse since it started in February. -SDTC
