“The unit came with a huge long cord and small brick to plug in and charge. The charging cable plugs into what appears to be a standard USB-C port. Is there any harm in using a different USB-C cord and charger such as the one for the Pixel 3?”

We recommend using the power cord and adapter that the Chromebook comes with for proper voltage management and efficiency, as well as in an effort to avoid damaging your device(s) and cables!
